Include a rainbow of colours in your daily meals

And you though rainbows are only in the sky? Well, you can now bring them to your plate by including vegetables and fruits of varied shades in your everyday diet. You need lots of fresh greens, no doubt, but also oranges, red, green and yellow peppers, kiwifruits, strawberries, carrots, papaya, and whatnots.

Vegetables and fruits of different colours are all rich in antioxidants. They help fight attack by free radicals and molecules that can harm body cells.

Go for lots of natural herbs too

Grow them in your garden or get them from the natural foods store near you. They’re loaded with all the good stuff for your health and immunity. Basil, coriander, mint, curry leaves, and oregano are few examples.

Keep smoke and alcohol at bay

They’re fine occasionally, if followed that way religiously. For, tobacco smoking, chewing and alcohol are all known to undermine immunity levels. Socialise and celebrate but not at the cost of your health.
