The Historical Background behind Taj Mahal

The mausoleum was built by Mughal Emperor Shah Jahan as a memoir of his fourth wife MumtazMahal, who died after giving birth to their 14th child. He wanted to make Taj Mahal with pure marble stone, but as the building cannot take the weight of marble, he then decided to make it with brick and clad in the form of marble that comes from the Banaras city. The time taken to construct this monument was about 20 years, it started in the year 1631 and ended in 1651. As sooner the building was completed, his son Aurangzeb imprisoned Shah Jahan. Shah Jahan spent the rest of his life in the jail of Red Fort from where he could see Taj Mahal.

Is Directory Submission Beneficial For SEO?

Do you know that two important and effective online directories are the DMOZ and Yahoo? Unlike the search engine Google, the directories help in organizing the links under categories and under the sub categories. It is said that most of the search engines get almost all the webmasters fail to realize the importance of submitting the links to the directories.

However, there are some people who prefer to shift through the various directories to locate the links they are searching for; the search engines like Google use the web directories as one of the viable systems. There should be some reason behind it, right? Can you guess the reason behind the importance of the directory submissions from SEO perspective? If not, first I will explain to you how the process of directory submission is done.

Directory submission is done mostly in a manual manner. Once the SEO expert has submitted the link to the directory, the human reviewer will pay a visit to the link. All the links are subjected to checking which is not possible with the help of the software manipulations. When the link got approved and included in the directory, Google considers it as the valid link, thus attaching the higher value to the link rather than to other websites. Now, after the links got the submission in the directory, what role does it play?

There are various benefits of submitting the directories. As soon as your link gets included in the web directories, your links get indexed by the search engine in short time. The Google crawlers crawl the internet to get the information on the updated links. Then they crawl the links the various website directories and first crawl the links that are present in the directory. Apart from these, whenever the new searches are launched, the crawlers will automatically visit the directories to index the previously validated links. This way, the submission of the links saves your time unlike doing the same in various search engines.

Check out the benefits of submitting links in directories?

Hope it is clear that submitting the links in the directories are important. Now, have a look on the benefits of submitting the links.

THE DIRECTORY SUBMISSIONS GIVE YOU UNIDIRECTIONAL LINKS

The search engines mainly give the importance to the inbound links to your website and from the web directories; you get only the inbound links. The web directories that have your links do not expect you to put the links on the website. Google and Yahoo generally do not prefer the link exchange techniques, but they take into account the inbound links.

DIRECTORY SUBMISSIONS ALLOW USING THE ANCHOR TEXT OF YOUR CHOICE

When you are using the directories for submitting the links, you have the right to use the anchor text that you like. This is not possible in other submission sites.

FREE TO USE THE DIRECTORY SUBMISSION SITE

Almost all the directory submission sites are free to use and thus anyone can submit the links to these sites without paying a penny. These sites also help to bring traffic to your site.

Hopefully, I am clear in providing you enough information about the benefits of submitting links to directories.

The more organic followers you have, the more authentic your page would be. To gain organic followers for your business on Facebook, the best page is to engage the audience. The best way to engage the audience is to constantly update the page, never keeping it off the track. This can also be done by organising some contests and in return providing some goodies to promote the brand.

How to use Facebook for business marketing

Facebook Ads serves as an excellent marketing instrument for business. The ads not only get organic reach but also make sure the content is engaged by consistent likes, shares and comments. The ads are filtered on the basis of interest, location and purchasing behaviour before they reach out to the customers.

Facebook Ads are not free; the brand has to pay for it. But the biggest mistake small businesses do is not spending that little amount on the ads. Testing ads can be a great money saver ensuring that it is not spent on ads that do not reach the particular type of customers. Testing saves money by understanding which version works best for the brand. This helps to focus and channelize the resources on the successful version rather than the constant hit and trial methods.

Ways to promote business page on Facebook

1. Facebook Like Box

This is an excellent way to engage users that visit the business website. Facebook provides an option for a like box that will flash on the business website. This can get approximately 10 random likes from the Internet who may or may not have looked up for the business on Facebook. This method has been taken up by various businesses to widen their social media campaigns and reach out to maximum people.

2. Personal Promotion

Many users who are the admin of the business page forget to like the page. The admin can also send across messages from the personal account asking all friends and colleagues to like the page and write reviews for the same.

3. Connect with other social media platforms

One can also connect the Facebook page with other social media applications like YouTube, Twitter and Instagram to gain more followers and keep the content engaging.

Four Ways to Take Care of your Laptop Battery

One of the main concerns of a laptop user is the battery. Sadly, most of us manage to get hardly 2 to 3 hours from our battery, which can be frustrating. Most of the times, it is found that old technologies are being used. However, today we are getting better batteries, but it has been found that these batteries are not up to the mark. Here are some laptop maintenance tips.

1. Stop aging your battery:

Laptop batteries are lithium ion batteries. These batteries wear down after a certain period. It has been found that as the number of cycles of charging the battery increase the battery will keep aging. Even if the charging is from 90% to 100% this too is considered as one cycle. Due to aging of battery, your battery will stop charging to its full capacity. It is therefore important that you charge your battery only when it has depleted almost completely. Also make sure that you finish charging the battery to its full capacity in one goes.

2. Unplug the laptop when the battery is charged:

If you keep charging, your laptop battery even after it is charged to its full capacity will result in overheating of the laptop. One has to keep in mind that overheating of the laptop is not good for the battery. It is better to unplug and stop charging laptop battery while using in order to avoid overheating of the battery.

3. Check the health of your battery:

It is important to keep checking the status of your battery. That is, you need to keep checking if your battery is alright at regular intervals. Many OEM’s have certain programs which you need to install and run in order to check the condition of your battery. Most of the times, the readings given by these programs are correct.

4. Calibration of the battery is a must:

Calibrating the battery will help in determining the correct charge level. However, what one needs to understand is that it is in no way going to affect the battery life. For the calibration of the battery, you have to discharge it completely and then charge it to 100% in one go. Go to the safe mode and run Prime95. This will help in bringing your battery to 0%. However, one must keep in mind that Prime95 will heat up the laptop. Therefore, you need to take appropriate precautions in order to prevent overheating of your system. You must make it a point to calibrate the battery at least once in every 2 to 3 months.

For better life of your laptop, you maintain it properly. Similarly, for better life of your laptop battery it is important that you take care of laptop battery. There is nothing complicated that you need to do. Just take a few precautions, which like disconnecting the charging when not required, preventing the aging of the batter, checking the battery condition etc. These measures will be beneficial for your laptop.

7 Ransomware Myths

One of the most feared attacks in the digital world is the ransomware attack. But there are a number of misconceptions about the same and it is important that we are able to distinguish the facts from the myths about the ransomware.

What’s the difference between ransomware and typical malware?

Before we bust the ransomware myths it is important that we understand the difference between a typical malware and a ransomware.

Ransomware infects your system and encrypts all the data. You can get back your files only by paying the ransom. Whereas a typical malware is in the form of a virus or worm and you can get rid of it by resetting the system.

Here are the 7 common ransomware myths:

Myth 1: Ransomware attacks only big companies:

Many people feel that ransomware will target only the big fish. They feel that small and medium business will not be the targets. But the fact is that attackers feel that it is easier to attack a small or medium company rather than attacking a bigger one. They ask for money, which the victim can afford and it gives them a chance to make some quick bucks.

Myth 2: Decrypting solutions are available:

No, it is not easy to reverse engineer a ransomware threat. So if you feel that you can get a ransomware decrypting software by paying money, then chances are that you are being taken for a ride. There have been cases where the people have paid more money for these fake tools and software than they would have paid to the attacker.

Myth 3: Data encrypted by the attackers can be recovered from a backup:

Many people feel that they can recover the data from the backup without paying any ransom. But the sad truth is that this is not possible.

Myth 4: Main source of ransomware are deceitful websites:

If you feel that by staying away from deceitful websites you can keep ransomware away then you are wrong. Emails with malicious attachments are the main source of the attack.

Myth 5: I will be able to identify the malicious emails:

You may feel that staying away from the lottery and nasty product emails is enough. But the fact is that most of the times ordinary and genuine looking emails are the source of the ransomware attack.

Myth 6: Most of the attacks are fake and there is a rare possibility of the attack:

No, they are not fake and you can end up losing a large amount of sensitive data. These attacks are not rare either. Remember that technically sound criminals can be behind these attacks and you may end up losing a lot of data.

Myth 7: Perimeter solutions that your company is using is the best:

Most of the times, the companies make use of old firewalls and outdated perimeter solutions. Now these outdated tools cannot protect you from a ransomware attack. It is therefore important that you make use of the latest solutions to protect your system.

These are some of the common myths about the deadly ransomware.

Is third party car insurance solution to road rage?

Cases of road rage have grown at a shocking rate. It is alarming to note that Chennai and Delhi bagged third and fourth rank respectively. The key reason is undeniably aggression and violence, commonly seen when two parties fight on the road. So if destructive driving results in a mishap, and the drivers involved, get on into aggressive words or gestures, road rage immediately comes into play and must be reported to your insurance company.

Road rage incidents are programmed as a discharge in many auto insurance exclusions liability policies for damage purposely caused by the insured. Accidents can sometimes cause personal injury or damage of the property. The difficult driver's insurance may not cover your injuries and damages.

What is third party liability Insurance?

Every motor vehicle – be it a 2 wheeler or four wheeler– plying on the roads must be insured or have valid third-party liability coverage. A motor insurance policy guarantees that you would not have to put up with any sort of costs or legal accountability arising from an accident, damage or loss to your vehicle as well as to a third party.

Car Insurance Policy Cover Road Rage

Irresponsible driving leading to individual assaults and crash may come under road rage that should never be encouraged. These include belligerent driving, failing to yield right of way, tailgating, cutting off someone severely, speeding, etc. In severe cases, there could be a loss of life or brutal injuries and prolonged lawsuits. As you go for car insurance the obvious thought that comes in your mind is if the insurance purchased cover road rage?

Concerned if your Car Insurance Policy Cover Road Rage?

If you have additional coverage options for your car insurance you may ask for damages due to road range. If you have a crash or comprehensive damage, depending on the situation you may claim for coverage. There are insurance companies that rule out road range coverage in the insurance agreement and refuse claims. They consider reckless driving is a risky and immoral behaviour. It is usually the insurance company’s diplomacy to decide whether to cover road range or not. Well, they must however, clearly mention this ruling out in the contract.

Another important area that needs to be discussed is how do you deal with road rage?

If you are a victim of road rage or someone driving violently you may keep away from any response. Even if the other guy starts using offensive language at you, don’t pay attention at him as that could take away your attention from driving. Avoid opening your window for an eye contact. Well, it is at times not an easy task, especially when you have a stressful day. This can make the aggressive driver get angrier at you.

Third party car insurance solution to road rage

As you go ahead to buy a third party car insurance solution, it is advised that you should consider if the insurance you are paying for offers solution to road rage. You may conduct an online survey from the comfort of your home to find the best insurance for your car. Speak to the insurance company and convey your concern about the road rage before initializing your deal. If your vehicle is a brand new one it is recommended to purchase a package policy to shun the costs arising from fixing damages caused because of accident or if the vehicle is stolen. In contrast, in case your vehicle is somewhat old and you no longer want to shell out much of your hard-earned money on it, then you can choose a third party insurance.

It is important to keep in mind that most car insurance companies do not normally use label “road rage cover”, there are some policies that cover for these types of things that form part of a road rage experience and the consequences. Most comprehensive car insurance policies will include it as “malicious damage” so basically anyone who is “fully comp” should have cover for this facet of road rage. It is essential to note that not all policies contain cover for emotional or physical harm.

Unfortunately, we live in an age where "road rage" is a familiar term. Lack of time and too much rush has led to an increase in these incidents. If you are a car owner, you are advised to be exceedingly careful about what is covered by insurance in a road rage situation. Happy driving!
